Eaton Model 30R Basket Strainers Inexpensive Cast Iron Simplex Strainers

Eaton model 30R simplex strainers are a lower cost alternative to the cast iron version of the Eaton model 72 simplex strainers. Available in 1½” to 8″ sizes, the Eaton model 30R basket chamber cover can be removed without tools, it has a drain plug and a machined basket seat.

The Eaton model 30R 1½” – 2½” sizes have an equivalent or larger gross screen area compared to the Eaton model 72 and therefore these sizes represent a good value. The Eaton model 72 has the gross screen area advantage for the 3″ through 8″ sizes, which means that the model 30Rs would likely require basket cleaning more frequently for applications requiring larger size strainers.
