Hayward® CPVC full pattern wafer check valves Hayward’s WCV series CPVC full pattern wafer check valves are available in 2″ to 8″ sizes.

Our PVC and CPVC wafer check valves have a full pattern body and do not require special spacers or flanges. Their patented contoured inlet reduces head loss to save energy and reduce pump wear. The one-piece disc and shaft design has no alloy components and the elastomers can be either EPDM or FPM. If you require a spring to assist with closure we can provide them in either 316SS or Hastelloy C276. The wafer check valves can be installed between either ANSI 150# or PN10 flanges with integral bolt holes provided for the 4 – 8″ sizes. You can install wafer check valves in both vertical and horizontal positions.

The decision to use either a full body swing check valve or a wafer style depends upon the space available and the liquid characteristics. Wafer check valves generally handle slurries and liquids containing solids which might clog-up full body swing check valve designs. The flow coefficient values (Cv) are much higher for full body swing check valves and thus wafer style check valves are used for lower flow rates
