Hayward® SV series Solenoid Valves

Hayward’s SV series solenoid valves are used to control flow rate, the valve remains in the closed position until electrically actuated. The valve bodies are a two port design, having one inlet and one outlet. They are available in ½” to 1″ sizes.

The valve bodies are available in either PVC, CPVC or PVDF and either can have EPDM or FPM seals.

Available voltages include 12VAC, 24VAC, 110VAC, 220VAC, 12VDC and 24VDC.

Design Criteria

Best results are received when the inlet pressure is <120 PSI and the flow velocity is ≤ 5 FPS. The formula for calculating flow velocity is (GPMx0.4085)/ID2. Where GPM is flow rate (gallons per minute) and the ID is expressed in inches.
