Hayward® BYV Series Butterfly Valves 2″ to 12″ sizes in PVC, CPVC and GFPP materials with your choice of EPDM, Viton or Nitrile elastomers.

The BYV butterfly valve has to be one of the highest quality and best value industrial butterfly valves in the world! The thoughtful design is based upon performance and ergonomics. The BYV butterfly valve is designed for both indoor and outdoor locations and with lever, gear, electric or pneumatic actuator.

Perhaps the coolest feature is the disc position and flow rate indicator built right into the valve body! In total there are 19 stopping positions based upon 5 degree intervals.

The ISO 5211 valve flange will directly couple with most actuators; if you order your valve with an actuator we’ll mount and test it for no additional charge.

We can provide with 316SS lugs and for dead end service we can provide overmolded 316SS lugs. The valve mold is designed for global use and thus BYV butterfly valves are compatible with both ANSI and DIN/EN flange patterns.

The hydro-dynamic disc design has a contoured shape which increases its Cv value (flow coefficient), thus minimizing pressure drop/turbulence and supportive of maximizing your flow rate.

The lock-out cap accessory enables the user to swap-out the lever handle for a cap; the cap can have a metal tab for a padlock or without a tab to simply discourage tampering with the disc position. Refer to our large butterfly valves webpage for specifications for our 14″ to 24″ sizes.
