The Eaton model 50 style duplex strainers are used for 5″, 6″ and 8″ pipelines and are a very compact, easy to operate style. These are cast products available in cast iron, steel, 316SS and bronze. The Eaton model 50 duplex strainer is a high quality, pressure rated plug valve with integral straining baskets. Switching the flow from one basket to the other is accomplished by moving the operating handle through a 90 degree arc. The flow is not interrupted when switching the chamber in service due to the design of the diverter plug and no tools are needed to divert the flow or access the basket chamber.
