Description
All of the components are made of PTFE or PVDF respectfully, with the exception of the straining element (ETFE or PEEK), the flange (PVDF, as applicable) and the o-ring seal (FEP encapsulated silicon).
Fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) is very similar to PTFE with regards to chemical compatibility. Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) is a corrosion resistant fluoropolymer whereas Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) is a thermoplastic material which maintains a superior chemical and mechanical resistance at elevated temperatures.
The element and knurled end cap are a one-piece item designed to be inserted and removed without tools. A 1/8″ or ¼” PTFE blow-down plug enables flushing of accumulated particles without removing the element from the strainer. Eight standard retentions are listed below, we can provide additional mesh sizes and special materials such as porous membranes, PTFE, Hastelloy, Alloy 20, Monel and Tantalum.
