Hayward’s CPVC Y strainers are used for hot water and other high temperature fluid systems which exceed the limitations of PVC. The once piece injection molded body has a captured o-ring seal screen cover and is offered with socket, threaded or flanged connections. The socket and threaded connections are also available in a true union design to simplify installation and enable replacement of the strainer body without disturbing the piping if it became damaged.
Hayward’s CPVC Y strainers can be installed horizontally or vertically for downwards flow applications. The standard 1/32″ screen results in a 2:1 open area ratio (OAR) and thus minimal pressure drop across the strainer.
